A Late Twist In Q3
Verstappen looked set for pole after topping the first two sectors, but a snap of oversteer through turn nine sent him into the wall. Russell, still on a flying lap, navigated the resulting yellow flags to post a 1:06.113 — two and a half tenths clear of Charles Leclerc. Teammate Kimi Antonelli, mistaking single yellows for double, aborted his own effort and will start fourth.
